The Sentry GV VS02A Video Server provides BNC video inputs for two standard CCTV cameras and digitizes and compresses the video for output through an RJ45 port and transmission over an IP network. The result is video that can be viewed on a mobile device, standard Internet browser or be displayed/recorded on a remote NVR, Sentry V Series hybrid DVR or external USB hard drive. The Sentry GV VS02A Video Server offers a scalable solution for multi-site surveillance and control. Video is compressed using hardware MPEG4 ASP compression at speeds up to 30 fps at full D1 resolution.
The user-friendly web browser interface simplifies the tasks of monitoring, recording, configuration and control. This interface allows remote live monitoring, remote PTZ and I/O control, camera zoom in and out, and system configuration. Sentry V Series DVRs can accept digital video from GV video servers which can be especially helpful when all analog camera ports are in use on a Sentry V Series DVR but more cameras are required. Up to 8 additional cameras from Sentry GV VS02A video servers can be connected to an existing Sentry V Series DVR through the network port, with no additional license and up to a combined total of 32 analog and IP/Video server cameras can be connected by purchasing necessary licenses and dongles for Sentry GV IP Cameras/Video Servers beyond the first eight.
